Long-pile wool traps dirt with exceptional gentleness

The “Wool Wash Mitt Long” by Innovacar is a long-pile wash mitt made from 100% wool with a rear pocket. The long pile traps dirt particles particularly well and glides very gently over the paintwork—providing maximum paint protection during hand washing. Like any wash mitt, it requires the correct technique and a pre-wash to reach its full potential.

The Innovacar “Wool Wash Mitt Long” is the long-pile version of the wool mitt—made from 100% wool and natural fibers with an extra-long pile. The longer the pile, the more dirt and sand it can absorb and keep away from the paint surface, and the more gently the mitt glides. The result is a highly smooth, paint-friendly washing experience that is particularly impressive on sensitive and dark paint finishes. The rear pocket for your hand ensures a secure, comfortable grip. Measuring 25 × 16 cm, it is easy to handle. For you, this means the gentlest way to wash a car by hand—provided the method is correct.

• Long wool pile. Traps dirt exceptionally well, glides very gently. Practical benefit: a noticeably softer washing feel on dark paint.
• Maximum paint protection. Keeps particles away from the paint, minimizing wash scratches. For you, this means the shine is preserved.

Practical tip from Detailing1: Long pile is gentle on paint, but it also holds more dirt—which is why we rinse the “Long” version even more frequently than a short-pile mitt. After washing, gently squeeze out the pile (do not wring) and let it dry with the pile facing up so it retains its shape. Stored dry and washed without fabric softener, the wool will remain soft for years.

Application: Plenty of foam, rinse often

Work with plenty of foam and rinse the mitt regularly in your wash bucket—ideally using “S1” Wash&Coat. Pre-clean roughly with “SP1” Prewash first.

Limitations: Hand wash, no pre-wash

Even the softest mitt cannot replace a pre-wash—remove heavy dirt beforehand, otherwise it will migrate into the pile. Dry using a “Micron XXL”.

Care

Rinse after use and wash with “SM” Micron Shampoo, without fabric softener.
